Contact information provided during registration or when ordering:
- Name
- Local address, zip code, post office
- Telephone number
- Email address
Information collected from transactions in the online service:
- Purchase history: ordered products and their prices
- Order delivery information: selected delivery method, delivery address and delivery price identification information of the terminal
- Information about consent to electronic marketing communications
Processing purposes and processing basis
AutoGear Oy / Vaihteistokauppa.fi uses personal data for processing online store orders and returns, delivery of orders and information and communication related to customer care, as well as for marketing purposes in third-party services or for electronic marketing communications based on consent given after ordering / registration.
Data storage and protection
The customer register is stored electronically on the system supplier's own server in Finland. Personal data is stored in such a way that unauthorized persons do not have access to it. The customer register information is stored in the system, which is only authorized to be used by pre-defined persons by entering a username and password. Users are bound by a duty of confidentiality.
Storage period of personal data and data subject's rights
Information is stored in accordance with current legislation:
- Information is stored in the online store for five years
- In the email archive for seven years
- In the accounting records for seven years
The registered person has the right to inspect and demand to correct or delete their data in the register. The registered person must submit a request regarding the exercise of the aforementioned right to the controller. The controller may ask the registrant to specify his request in writing and to verify the registrant's identity before processing the request. The controller may refuse to implement the request on the grounds stipulated in the applicable law.
Data transfer
We transfer some information to third parties if it is necessary, for example, for order delivery or payment. When transferring data, a high level of data security has been ensured in accordance with the EU Data Protection Regulation. We pass on information:
- to the payment intermediary
- through a payment intermediary to the credit company, when the customer has chosen the credit company's invoice or installment payment as the payment method
- through the transport management system for different transport companies
- to an accounting firm that records the order in our accounting
- to the auditor who checks our accounts
- to the company that maintains our website
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that the website stores on your device. Cookies are used to collect information about the use of the service, usage volumes and other matters related to statistics. Cookies also enable us to recognize your device, but they do not contain personal data and cannot be used to run programs or store other files on the user's computer. Cookies enable the functionality of the site, for example logging in. They also contain web analytics cookies that provide information about how visitors use the site.
There are two types of cookies:

Third-party cookies mean, for example, advertisers, advertising networks and providers of measurement and tracking services. These so-called third parties can set cookies on the user's terminal device when the user visits the site, for example to offer the user targeted advertising or to collect statistics on the number of visitors to different sites. The service also uses the so-called community plugins that can e.g. share site content on social media. These sites may set their own cookies in accordance with their privacy policy.
