Automatic Transmission Repairs
We repair and rebuild automatic transmissions of all brands with over 20 years of experience. We also install all of our products. So if you need installation service for an automatic, manual, or transfer gearbox, get in touch!
Note! Unfortunately, we do not offer a replacement car during repairs.
Most common automatic transmission faults
If you suspect that there is a fault in your transmission, avoid driving. A car with an automatic transmission can be towed unless it is specifically prohibited in the owner’s manual. The vehicle may be towed at a maximum of 40 km/h and only for short distances at a time.
- Fluctuating RPMs, vibration, or poor shifting
Torque converter faults are the most common issues in automatic transmissions. A worn torque converter lock-up clutch causes uneven RPMs, vibration, and jerking. Typically, a torque converter fault can be detected during a test drive. The torque converter should be refurbished as soon as possible after the fault is detected, as a worn converter can quickly cause damage to the transmission. - Slipping
The engine RPM increases, but the vehicle speed does not increase proportionally. Slipping is usually caused by a clutch pack seal failure, worn clutches, and/or cracks in the drum or piston. This typically triggers a fault code for an “incorrect gear ratio.” - The vehicle does not move
If the vehicle does not move at all, there may be several possible faults. Potential issues include, for example, the oil pump, low oil level, a clogged filter, burnt clutches, etc.
Transmission overhaul cost estimate and payment methods
The repair estimate is not binding and does not include the cost of transmission removal and installation, which must be agreed upon separately. Typically, the cost of transmission repair ranges from 500 to 3000 euros, but a more accurate estimate can only be given once the transmission has been opened.
We release products / completed work to private customers only against cash payment or a bank transfer receipt. You can also pay with a debit card, Visa, Maestro, or MasterCard.

This is how transmission repairs are carried out

DIAGNOSIS
The customer contacts us and fills in the preliminary information form before delivering the transmission.
We test the vehicle for faults through a test drive and diagnostic equipment before opening the transmission.

REPAIR
Mechanical faults are identified when the transmission is opened. At this stage, we can provide the customer with a more detailed cost and time estimate for the repair. A complete overhaul always includes torque converter refurbishment by our in-house specialist.

TESTING
Valve bodies and solenoids are cleaned and tested using vacuum or a test bench. Clutches can be tested with a leak tester. After the vehicle repair, we perform adaptations and extensive test driving. Finally, we carry out a final inspection on a lift and a second test drive.

READY!
Upon delivery of the work, the customer receives a receipt clearly itemizing the replaced parts and completed work. We wish you safe driving!
Note! Transmission oil must be changed after 2,000 kilometers of driving.
