TRANSMISSIONS
The transmission must always be installed by a qualified technician. Transmission oil must be changed after 2000 km of driving. When replacing an automatic transmission, the transmission oil cooler must also be replaced. When replacing a manual transmission, the clutch and release bearing must be replaced. Keep receipts as proof of replaced parts.
If a transmission issue is suspected in the vehicle, it must not be driven until proper operation of the transmission has been confirmed.
All warranty repairs are performed by our company to ensure the fault can be verified before repair and functionality can be confirmed afterward. Warranty-covered repair procedures will only begin once approved by AutoGear Oy.
The warranty for fully refurbished transmissions is 12 months or 20,000 km (6 months or 10,000 km for commercial use). Partial repairs have a 3-month warranty (this does not cover valve body or control unit issues). The warranty covers replaced parts and performed labor. The warranty does not cover:
- Indirect additional costs (e.g. installation/removal work unless performed by AutoGear, towing or transportation costs, diagnostics, rental vehicles, etc.)
- Faults or damage resulting from careless or improper handling (e.g. continuing to drive after a fault has been detected)
- Costs incurred before the customer has submitted a written complaint
- If the part has been installed incorrectly
- If the part was known to be defective before installation, but was installed anyway
- If the customer has acted fraudulently
- The customer’s own labor
- Transport damage
- If the part is not an OEM-approved spare part for the intended vehicle
If it is found that the fault is not due to the transmission or its repair, the customer may be charged for diagnostics, performed work, and other non-warranty parts at the list price.

- Costs incurred before the customer has submitted a written complaint
- If the part has been installed incorrectly
